Default HERE IS A POST BY LaRoper...

...that is a good tip for all of us!

After 4 coins were pulled out amongst the nails the fluke thought faded. I drove by one of my old locations and seen that they have cleared it. This place is also littered with iron. I'll let you know how the Tejon does in this old sight.
Thanks Chuck
A tip, I changed the batts in the detector and it made a huge difference. Why? I don't know, but I'm digging targets down around 9 to 10 inches. I just can't figure what the difference in the batts are.

The Batteries....

...new or not can make a huge difference in their ability to provide the power necessary for full performance of the detector! This is a very good lesson for all of the rest of us (MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING QUALITY, NEW FRESH BATTERIES)! In fact....I am going to copy your post to the TIPS page on the Treasure Hut Website (with your permission and credit to you), as well as here on the Tips Forum!

I am so glad you changed those batteries, and you can see the performance of that Tejon as I know it to be! The "lightning fast" response recovery time is why you were able to pick out the goodies so close to the trash.

AWESOME, and thank you for the report!

Chuck

Thanks Chuck for posting that. It's always those little things we tend to overlook that can make such a BIG Difference. Batteries are no cheap but I'd rather put out a few extra $ then possibly miss something really Cool and or valuable because my detector was not at it's best. Thanks again.
