This thread is really for those of us that live in the northern climates with snow. In the winters that we get snow quite often, the parking lots of large stores have quite the pile of snow that is plowed (usually) to one end of the parking lot. Wellllll, people reaching in their pockets for the keys, lose change, keys, rings and such pretty much on a regular basis. Sometimes they never know it is gone until its too late. I have gone to where the snow was piled up all winter and has melted in spring to find quite a lot of change and other stuff that was dropped over the winter months. Keep in mind that this will be new coins, but it sure helps pay for the detector and batteries. Besides, it gets you out and practicing early. One spring, I found close to eight dollars in change, two rings, and a Timex watch. (no it wasn't still ticking

)This was in one parking area. If this has already been mentioned forgive me, but I didn't see it anywhere.
