Hey Hank! Welcome to TQ Not inappropriate at all...quite generous if you ask me! I sure hope you get a taker (I'm sure you will for that price). I hope you and your Dad enjoy many days huntin' together.

If any one would like it I could sell it at my cost about 8dollars+tax for me (I work in a lumberyard, inside sales and do all/most of the ordering for hand/power tools, and can get everything at cost+10%)
if any body is interested let me know.

I reallize this is my first post and if this inapropriate let me know ,I'll retract if it is. just hate to se the 2nd one sit on the shelf forever.

The knife part looks exactly like mine...mine is blue handle though and it says treasure wise. And I can say that it is a great digger, very strong. I have even used this digger to chip away frozen ground. The serated edge is perfect for tree roots too. I have used mine for over a year now, and it is still very sturdy .

I found a picture of the knife it's called a zenbori 6" soil knife k425.
the link is not the distributor we deal with you have to be logged on too ours to view items,I found this by googling it. It's the same thing. I sould have it in my hands tomorrow I expect that order on ups tomorrow. I was browsing and found my supplier also lists the nylon sheat for a few $ more, unfortunately right now it's so slow,I'm only placing an order every 3-4 weeks, and I'm still having a tough time making pre-paid frt.
I hope things pick up soon,we're cutting hours, and all expenses that we can,and hope things pick up in the spring when the ground thaws out.Although it's a nice break from the summer, when we are busy from dark to dark some days!

Default man What a tool

Brought one digger home today, the other is still at the store, all I can say is wow this thing is stout, the blade is nearly 1/4 inch thick fairly sharp, kind of like a survival knife bred with a digging trowel. Were I to run into trouble while treasure hunting I would not feel unarmed going out with this tool on my belt.

Default Thank's Dylan

Dylan, do you have a decent digger? If not,I could send one off to you,I would consider it my part in paying it forward,I read the thread about you winning your detector was really impressed. It nearly brought me to tears. If you do have a digger how are you equipped otherwise?

So far i have broken 3 spades and snapped a very expensive bowie knife(it was a gift)! I ordered the item today....I'll give a review of it when I get to use it. I was considering a lesche tool, but they are so expensive!
