Default Diggin tool

I got permission from the local ISD to search one of the old schoolgrounds and they said only if I can leave the grounds like they were before I was there. To leave the grass ntact as much as possible. Well, my wife went up to Wally World and picked up some of her gardening tools for the yard and after looking at what she bought, I realized one tool in particular was perfect for this task. It is a flower bulb planter. They are listed here at 2.24 each but if you look at the upc label on them it has 2.18 on it. The correct price guarantee states if any item is incorrectly priced so much off and if item is under 5.00 it is free. Well this one was free and Crystal got a little put out when I took it to use for detecting. (Hint, if you wife does gardening and has one of these, buy another one to stay outta the doghouse)

Mine (actually hers) is dirty now but here is a scan of it. It even has depth indicators to let you know how deep you are!!

i also never thought to use one for detecting. they also make them with a long handle so you dont have to bend down.

Default A plug puller!

That'll hurry up the shallow clads.

Thanks for posting! I'll have to see if our Wally world has one.

An old hickory butcher knife works better than anything that I've used.

I think your theory would work if the cylinder was 100% horinzontal and not angled.

When you press the handle together it does go straight and not at an angle - you just release the handle when you with-draw the dirt and it closes on the dirt - press the handle again and it opens up to let the dirt fall out... This is something I have in my digging tools - plus a kitty kat scoop for the sandy areas....work very well.
