Hi Boys And Girls The Classroom Is Now In Session. Those Of You That Think You Know It All Are Excused From The Classroom. Those Of You That Don't Plan On Leaving Me A Shiny Apple Or A Box Of Chocolate Are Excused Also. You Don't Need A Text Book Or A Ruler In This Classroom. All You Need Is An Open Mind And Be Eager And Willing To Learn. Now This Lesson Is Not Sad But I Do Guarantee It To Be Short,Sweet And You Should Know It Complete When We Are Through. Now Lets Begin Our Lesson Called Discrimination 101. Have You Ever Wondered What Targets You Leave Behind In The Ground When You Set Your Metal Detector To Knock Out Satans Little Key! Yeah You Guessed It The Ever Popular, The Ledgendary, The Infamous Pull Tab? Look At The Pictures Below And Study Them Then Come Back And See Me. Okay Now That Your Back Were You Surprised Or Just Confused? The Pictures Are Easy To Understand If You Knockout A Pulltab You Will Lose Everything To The Left. Now Just Look At All The Gold And Silver Etc.You Might Be Walking By On Each Outing.The Items To The Right Of The Pulltab Are Mainly Silver With The Exception Of The Big Gold Class Ring. That Is Some Of The Stuff You Are Able To Pick Up While Knocking Out Pulltabs.The Same Principle Holds True When You Knock Out A Bottle Cap,Square Tab Etc.You Lose The Stuff To The Left In The Picture. It's Sad That's Why I Tackled This Dilemma Head On And Modified Some Of My Metal Detectors. I Am Now Able To Knockout Pulltabs,Nails,Bottle Caps And Some Square Tabs And Pull All Of The Gold And Silver Items You See Pictured. Please Note That It Is Still Hard To Maintain Any Good Depth On Gold Chains. I've Also Done Some Limited Testing On Other Machines Like For Example A Fisher CZ. If You Put That Machine On A Number Four You Will Only Be Able To Pick Up Nickles,Square Tabs And The Stuff Above The Pull Tab Range To The Right. It's Crazy But You Can Say Bye Bye To The Rest Of The Good Stuff I Have Pictured. I Hope In The Near Future To Have More Machines Featured And More Time To Go Into More Detail On Individual Metal Detectors. I Don't Claim To Be An Expert Nor Do I Claim Your Results Will Be The Same. I Do Know I That I Tried Two Different Brands With The Same Results. Hey If You Made It This Far And Are Reading This Then At Least Give Yourself An E An E For Effort Because If You Don't At Least Think About What We Talked About Then That's The Grade You Deserve. Now If You Practice What We Talked About I Might Give You An A An A For Almost.... Almost Got It.
