Smile New Case for Metal Detector

I just got a new case a week or 2 ago for my detector so I can safely take it on the airplane and not worry about it getting broke. After a lot of research I got a Pelican case. You can veiw these at pelican.com, I got the 1700 model. The reason for my choice was simple, it is just the max size limit allowed to go with the regular baggage and no extra charge. The max size is calculated by length + width + thickness for a max of 60 inches. The case is exactly 60 inches, obviously they have done there homework. It's water proof, has a built in valve for the change in pressure, and so srong you can stand on it. With my detector and gear inside weighs 25 lbs. The weight limit for suitcases are 50lbs or less no extra charge. I will be buying some extra insurance just so I can relax it is $1 per $100, so no problem there. I was so impressed when I opened the box I couldn't believe it. I actually bought the 1750 case as well for a couple of rifles that deserved the same quality case. Just thought I would share this with everyone or anyone whos thinking about traveling long distances to metel detect. I had a set of head phones get broke in my regular suit case once in Hawaii. I was bummed when I opened up my case and saw it. Good luck.
