Hey Digging Fool,

If I don't have a defintite plan that I will be out in the next few days or week, I take out the battery pack. As time goes on, I tend to forget about such things, so I take the conservative approach to steer clear of possible problems.....cheap insurance.

The biggest thing, is you got be honest and realistic with yourself (that can be sometimes hard to do!) as far as how soon you will be able to get out the next time. In your heart, you may want to get out every day, but then there's reality. Job committments, weather (long, cold winters), health issues, and other things can all play a part in determining this. If you have any doubt you won't be getting out in a week or so, I'd remove the battery pack.

One thing about the MXT, is it's extremely easy to pop the battery pack in and out.

Hawk

Good habit, to get into !! Take it out, recharge, and it will be ready for the next trip !! And, you don't have to worry, if something leaks ! Rich.

Even though I have only owned my mxt for less than a week, I remove my batteries on it and everything electronic I own, every time I am finished using it. It just too easy to plan on using the item in the next day or two and then somthing "gets in the way of your plans" and you forget. I screwed up a VERY high dollar camera that way. MY opinion, Remove the batteries as soon as you are done.

Take em out! If your not going to be using it in the next week or so, Take em out wrap them in a plastic bag and put them in the Refreg. Battery life is extented and if you don't get back to it, they are not any place to cause leak or damage. Just My Way!
