Talking Kinda proud of myself

Hi folks -

Ok, so the pst week hasn't been all that great for me mentally, or emotionally, but in the last couple of days I have come around - I have recently switched happy pills and I guess it's taken a bit to catch up - and now I'm feeling much better...

Anyway, I have the next couple of days off, and I've decided to put the ol' 1266 up for a bit and dust off the o'l Bounty Hunter and concentrate on clad for a while... now, the BH is light anyway, but I've always wondered if I could finagel a hip-mount, and - I did!

Basically, on this particular machine, there's only 2 screws holding the housing to the shaft, and the cable goes directly from the housing to the coil so all I needed to do ws figure out how to mount it to something.

I had an old fanny-pack type bag with a detachable strap, and it worked but it just wasn't long enough, and I really didn't want it swinging and flopping around, so...

I took another look at the bottom, and figured that I could find something strong and thin enough, and if I could drill some holes through it, I could just slip it through my belt loop... well, I had some old, broken venetian blinds lying around, and they're plastic, so I snipped off a piece, measured for the holes and voila!

Tomorrow morning I'm gonna head downtown to the easements and swing as long as I can stand it!

Great idea ... I've been thinking about how to hip-mount my Titan 2000 ... it has 2 bolts as well to hold the housing to the shaft, so I may try something along these lines ... thanks for sharing !
