Default Prizm II I learned a few things

On my hunt today I went slow and listened. It was a 5c only when it DID NOT waver off of the icon. The other times it MOSTLY stayed on the icon then briefly flitted to pull tab and it was always aluminum of some kind.
I dug 30 dimes and there is no icon for them. mostly I dig them when I think they are pennies, but today I dug all that flitted between 1c-25c and 50c. I was astounded with the number of them. if they flit on the high end of the screen they are dimes... and many were deep! Also I dug a 50c signal and a kid dropped two quarters... one on top of the other....yes that is 50c! I did dig a lot of pull tabs because I thought it just may be jewelry.... frankly I don't know what that sounds like because with all the digging I have done in the past 2 months i have only found one chain and that was when I dug a penny signal and it just happened to be near when I dug.... so If anyone can help with that I would appreciate it.. Mark

CM, you are doing well..you have to get used to the tones..Sometimes they fool me...At the beach the cans in the deep sand always sound so good..still I dig them and most times they are cans...Oh well..just keep at it and you will get the tones..have a good vacation also....Buster......

Heck it sounds like you are really getting to know your machine. On my X-Terra dimes and pennies come in very close together. As to jewelry it is just a matter of getting the coil over the item. The most recent ring I found was bouncing all around the nickle/foil setting. You keep digging like you are and it will happen, Beale.

That's sophisticated technology in the Prizm II if it can add up the change correctly.
Knowing your machine is one of the most important skills you can develop.

Congrats,

Your doing great. Keep analyzing those tones and using your screen. Your digging all your signals which awesome and is only going to continue to help you learn your machine. Keep at it, and good luck.

I've had that happen to me before, I got a dime hit & it was 2 nickels on top of each other, I've also had the signal jump between a nickel & pulltab & it be a nickel, happens a lot at the beach, will be on pulltab mostly but when I dig it, it's a nickel, I dig all the signals, the salt water degrades a lot of coins when they've been there a long time & the signals will get messed up.
