sorry, another small queston, how long will my battries last. I have 2, 9 volts
in my bh pioneer, would be some help to know , thanks

just make sure to unhook the batteries when you are done hunting if not they die quicker

Using headphones will extend battery life considerably,Even with Silent search detectors.As to your question,using a bounty hunter 101 while saving for new detector(my last was stolen)I didn,t use phones and searching about an hour a day I thinj I got about 2 weeks from aset of Batteries.But other factors such as how many targets,Your skill in pinpointing will also affect the battery Life.I would definately reccomend rechargeable Batts as it is a considerable savings over tims and Since many Newer Detectors also use the 2+ 9 volt Batteries it would make a good investment.I keep a fresh set of regular batts in My case also.

i use duracel alkaline you get about 18 hours. then i switched to rechargeables. a good savings on battery feed
