Great pics and interesting stuff on meteorites...living on the plains east of Denver - I SHOULD be able to get lucky and find a space rock or two - right?

Truthfully if the area is predonimately desert, you could find some fairly easily if you knew what to look for, and had your detector set to a mode that can distinguish ferrous materials very well. i wouldn't be surprised if you found a space rock or three...

Wow...guess I missed out when i was stationed in San Diego, CA... Too late now. There is a desert a few hours away...Anyway cool videos and I actually learned a little too...!

Default Meteorites in Az..

Just found this forum! I live in Arizona,Mohave county,close to Gold basin,and according to research and Youtube videos they find many meteorites in this area.I may have to run my MXT over to the Goldbasin and see what I can find.May stumble across a gold nugget while I'm there.. Right now its hot enough to fry an egg on your car hood though..Anyone want to go with me?

Homefire,I wish you could too..Not many out MD,ing here,they tend to sit in the closet this time of year.I still do a little park stuff in the evening though.This winter I'll be hot and heavy at it!
