Not a bad idea, not bad at all. I for one would love to see waterproof housings made for all brands and model MDs so you could take a land machine in the water without worry of dunkin it. Yeah I know you could use a plastic bag, but I'm talking about a real clear, hard case just like you can get for cameras. Sure would save me from having to buy a water machine.

A clock would be good, so you dont go missing your favorite shows or anything. A compass wouldn't be all that useful on such a device that uses electrical currents and has small induction coils built in, will give a false north or south reading. Unless you are talking about a GPS type of compass that uses a satellite to receive direction only!
