AJ,
Congrats. You have a chance to get out there with it yet? Make sure you let us know how you like it.... And post some of the finds.

LOL Roger, I'll have you know i plant my own hunts but just don't have the nerve to place a nice gold coin in the dirt yet
HMMMM, you have the Quattro, AJ now has an EX 11 and i have a Sov GT, i'm up for side by side but my window closes by April .

One thing i will debate is how long it takes to learn a detector because i've seen many posts on various forums where folks claimed they owned a detector for 3 or 4 yrs and don't understand basic adjustments. It all boils down to dedication and persistance combined with desire to find whats under the ground.

As far as the learning curve goes I'll just have to see. I've watched the video twice and am half way through the manual. I am determined to learn how to use this machine properly. I didn't pay this much for a detector just to barely know how to use it. After watching the video and from what I've read so far it doesn't seem to bad. Granted I am going to have to get out there a few times before I really know, but I think after 2 or 3 months of using it and reading what I can on it and getting some help from the fine people on here that own one I'll get the hang of it. I'll be sure to keep all of you informed on how it is going and post the finds I get with it. I hope to get out with it either Sat. or Sun. So hopefully I'll have something to post this weekend.

AJ
