Default Found my first Silver!

I'm finally starting to get a handle on my explorer, I think . Today i Found some more bullets, a whetie in rough shape, my first button( dont know what it is) and my first silver, a 1919 Merc in what I consider great shape! I think I am going to like this machine. I hope the pics come through!

The button is an Eagle button and looks to be CW period! Is there a letter on the shield in the middle of the Eagle? A letter would indicate what kind of trooper wore it, like C for Calvary, or I for Infantry. Many were also just plain shield however, denoting general service! Nice finds by the way!
