Hi Jeff, This is John at John's Detectors and please keep your manual handy and read and read and read it. I use mine with a slow sweep and use the digital mode with the dual number readout. I have it set for deep mode. Also in Ferrous. Sens. in manual around 15 to 20. Analyze your targets and approach from all angles. Also write up a cheat sheet that you can look at to compare readings. Take sample readings of items you would run across and write down the readings. Do a noise cancel regularly. Clean your coil cover daily. I know that most of this is common knowledge but I hope it helps you Jeff. God Bless.
