Default Decided on SE need extra Coil suggestions

I decided on the Minelab SE and Im going for it very soon. It will be a big jump from my BH SS II. I will be using the stock coil for most cases but I want to be ready with an additional coil for trashy and tight areas right away.

Would like suggestions on smaller coils that go deep and good for trashy
areas for the SE.

Thanks

Hi Osros, this is John and glad to hear from you. I have the Explorer SE and Sunray 5.5" coils in stock. I will be happy to help you in anyway I can. I am currently using the SE with the SunRay 5.5 coil myself and it is a dream. I feel the 5.5 coil will better suit you Osros and I am going to stick with my 5.5" coil because it is such a pleasure to use. I hope to hear from you and I know you won't be disappointed! God Bless and CU later Osros.

I'm using the SunRay 8" and I'm liking it re-al bad. I'll probably pick up the 5" in the next few months, but I think the 8" is a great recommendation.

I've been reading great things about 4.5x7" coils as well. Too bad SunRay doesn't make any of those.

Any of the Sunray coils will do the trick. Some of the best and best quality coils out there.

Thanks for the input Sunray it is then. Do you guys use the Sunray 5.5" in all conditions trashy or not, or do you switch to the smaller coil only if you find yourself in a trashy area?

I can only go with one spare coil at this time so was wondering if the 8" would be a good all around replacement for the stock coil to use in all conditions trashy or not. Or get the 5.5" use the stock coil most times and switch to 5.5" when in trashy area only.
