Minelab SOVEREIGN The Minelab Sovereign series of Minelab detectors, the most current of which is the Sovereign GT, is a BBS machine transmitting and receiving 17 different frequencies at once. Sovereign is the "senior citizen" of the Minelab line. Without a digital ID LCD screen, the Sovereign utilizes Accu_Trak digital ground balance with selectable fixed or automatic options. Iron Mask mode allows the detection of good targets next to ferrous metals. Discrimination and notch filtering rounds out this outstanding performer that happens to come in a more traditional "switch & knob" package.

Hey guys . . . I've had my Sovereign Elite for a little over a year now and I'm just starting to get the hang of it . . . it's taken me this long to realize that in order to find what others have missed I've had to slow down my swing and shorten my sweep distance . . . I'm posting a pic of a half reale that I dug that was a few inches from a large chunk of iron . . . I had been over the spot a few times and missed it until I slowed myself down . . .

Default Great Find JC

I've had mine for about a year now too. I just havent used it as much as my other machine. I mostly use it in the woods, really old areas where I would dig mostly everything. I have use it in parks, but have trouble pinpointing with it.

Very nice find, I don't think I have heard of anyone finding anything like that around the areas I hunt. Really nice. Where there is one there is more. Keep it slow and show us some more.
Good luck
LR

Hi Bill, I just got in a Musky Advantage and will start trying to use it on a regular basis and learn for myself about this machine and what it can do. Unfortunately I don't get any calls for them. I also need to put the WOT coil back on the GT so I can cover some ground at a farm of over 600 acres. Looking forward to using the Musky, Bill. Happy hunting with the Sov. Bill and God Bless.

Hey John . The tale of 2 detectors . You may notice the Advantage will give better air test results and should be a bit better on freshly plowed areas and it's hard to overswing a good coinsized target, great coverage detector ,especially in low trash areas. There is a Wot coil for the Advantage. Listen for the softer audio as the Advantage has a mellow unmodulated response on deeper targets that will make you grin when it maintains a smooth response above your discrimination point.

I'll be waiting your opinion (Good or Bad) on the Advantage. I sold a CZ- 5 after the Musky kept winning the depth challenge at my sites. Thanks John HH Bill

Hey Bill,
Ok nice to hear from you and looking forward to trying the Musky out. I will let you know what I think of it after getting some time on it. It sounds like a fun detector for sure! I might already have a WOT that will fit it Bill. The 5Khz frequency is a good pick, nice for relics. Ok Bill I will be around and God Bless ya my friend.
