Default greetings from SC

Hello Every one I live in SC and have been metal detecting for about a year and seem to be addicted.I started with Whitesprizm II and moved up to a Spectrum XLT I am a yankee transplant and want to know where to metal detect in area. Currently doing some schools and a fleamarket my best finds are a diamond ring, two silver coins and a mercury dime. I live in Aiken County. thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum ... sounds like you are already off to a good start with your ring and silver ... I would suggest asking family or neighbors about mding their yards (make sure to leave a good impression on them by leaving the yards in good shape after detecting). Maybe check out the surrounding farm fields for old house sites and research for the owners and get permission (this is my favorite type of hunt). Good luck! ... Jimmy
