Default Brand new to metal detecting

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself, as I hope to be spending alot of time in these forums. My name is Dave, and I live in southeast Florida.I just got my metal detector today. Its a BH quick drawII.I know this is just a entry level detector, but do any of you have any experience with this model, or know if it's a fairly decent detector or not. I did read some favorable reviews on it, but come to think of it , that might have been on the Bounty Hunter website. Oh well, I have it now so I intend to use it. Anyways , just saying hello and might be asking for help from time to time. Take care
Bigd

Hi bigd,

The QDII is a great entry level detector. You may have problems on the ocean beach, though. You'll just have to feel out your new detector. If it falses to much or makes too much noise (chatter), just turn the sensitivity down. It is better to have something stable and shallow than deep and unstable.

Good Luck and welcome.

Dan
