Default Help for a newbie!

Greetings from Virginia. I am just getting started. I am considering a Garrett GTAx 400 on e-bay. Please let me know if this is a good idea. I would like to look for coins, jewelry. Also, can you take it to the beach?

Thanks much!!!

I NEVER reccomend Ebay for a detector purchase. Although many state they have had no problems , it's still a crap shoot. As far as the 400 goes ; it is no longer made and you could do better with an Ace250. The GTAx 550 is also a good choice. Let me know if you need any more help with your purchase.
