Awesome Find!!!!!!!!!
Well, my husband and I were clearing an old logging trail thru the woods on our property, for getting firewood, and I decided to bring the new garrett ace 250............ we found SCADS of old square nails in one area, and then we hit an AWESOME target!!!!!!!! After researching on line after finding it, we discovered that it is an old ox-shoe!!!!!!!! We are THRILLED!!!!!! To think that people many years ago travelled through OUR woods with oxen!!!!!! How cool is THAT?! We cannot wait to see what else might just be buried out there~~~~~~ the 1/2 shoe (as they made them in 2 pieces) is in VERY good condition, and even has a small square nail stil in it!!!!!!
(as new metal detectors, this is an AWESOME find....... it is a piece of our HISTORY!!!!!!!)

 way to go. Sounds like that trail is gonna get a good lokin over. Hope you don't find the oxen that shoe belonged to.  Seriously, as you said, how cool is that as far as it's history goes. Wish you many finds.The TINMAN

Ya better take some tranquiizers next time out ! No telling what might happen if you were to find silver and gold ! History is what its all about ! Congrat's !

Congratulations!!! You bought a time machine. I wonder if they set up camp anywhere along that trail. Hm... I can't wait to see all the stuff you guys are gonna find along that trail. Good luck and WTG!!!
