Default New Vaquero and its first finds

I ordered a Tesoro Vaquero from Chuck at Treasure Hut. First let me tell anyone looking for someone who knows their stuff and is willing to help call or email Chuck. At first I was going to but a Cibola but after ordering it I read some more and decided I wanted manual ground balance. So I called Chuck and asked if I could upgrade. "No problem" was his response. I explained my reasons for wanting manual ground balance and Chuck said that for what I was wanting to do it was a good decision to upgrade.

I got an email from Chuck on Thursday telling me he shipped my Vaquero. It was here on Saturday, unfortunately I was working and did not get by the post office on Saturday. It was here in two days.

I got off of work today and set it up and went out in the yard to see what I could find. I knew I was going to find a bunch of construction material from building my house. I adjusted the ground balance, it was very easy, and went looking. I played with the discrimination and tried to see if I could tell what was what before I dug. I also had my daughter hide some coins to hear them. Aside from what she hid, my son and I found two soda cans, a sardine can, a glob of metal ????, two "H" clips, and a 1997 dime.

I felt good about how well I found the dime and knew it was a coin before I started digging. So, my son and I got in the car and went to the park in the subdivision. I played with the descriminate some more and felt real good about how the hunt was going. This was the first time I have ever used a metal detector of any kind and I knew whether I was about to dig junk or something good. Anyway we found a big washer, a quarter, a penny, a fishing weight, a lipstick canister, and best of all two rings. One is marked 925 with three gems, WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also dug up three cans that I knew were cans before I dug.

Sorry for the long post but I am very happy and a little excited.

Thanks again Chuck.

Congrats on your purchase I'm thrilled that you're picking up on what your machine is telling you so quickly. Keep it up! It's amazing that you've already found some jewellery. You know what that means, though? You're seriously addicted, now. You'll be thinkin' about it while you sleep.

Default You Are More...

...than WELCOME JR! You are off to a great start, and the more you use that "little lady Vaquero" the more you will fall in love with her! She will start "whispering sweet nothings" in your ears, and bang the two of you will be so in sync. that you will think you are dancing!

I really enjoy working with a Customer who is willing to listen and learn, and who is as positive as you are! Great work on your first trip outside of your yard. Keep us informed on future finds, and try to post photos of some of your first finds here on TQ!

Thanks again for your purchase, and please remember, the Customer Service and Support only start now......and go on for a LifeTime. Any questions you have....just ask!
