Hi Hunter,

I've never used the Bounty Hunter Tracker but I would think it would be a good beginner detector and should go about 4 to 6 inches deep in moist ground.

Maybe another member here has experience with one

Talking Hello!

I have a Bounty Hunter PioneerEX and just today I found two silver dimes that were about 8in down and I really like my machine! I have only been doing this for a month and that was my first silver find!

HunterIL, I don't have any info for you on the tracker 2 but I started out with the Bounty Hunter pioneer 202, and deepest coin I found was at 6
inches. I have many nice finds from the Bounty hunter!

I still use my first detector alot. It is a Vintage Bounty Hunter 1 that came out who knows when. I got it third handed sorta. It needed repaired and my father (who is a Ham radio builder ect) and I rebuilt it. It never has let me down but only gets down about 8" on coins in moist dirt. Now on bigger stuff it hits at up to about three feet. Like I said though, it is a Vintage late '60's early 70's model. Kinda like putting an Apache Helicopter up to a Huey if we compared technology with todays detectors versus then. Heard the Sharpshooter II was a good one and I was going to order one but my wife got me a Bounty Hunter Timeranger for my B-Day. It works okay so far.. Will keep you posted on it.

Default Yo! Jarhead!

Semper Fi! Watch out for the live ordinance. I just bought a Whites MXT. I love this little machine. It seems to be able to pick up everything I am looking for. Gold (1 ring)...Silver (2 liberty halves) various ods and ends etc...and I've only had it less than a week!
