Head phones that come with the mxt are cheaply made and shouldn't be a part of Package.
The tones do grow on you and quite aren't as annoying as before. As a new player I am Still Learning about the way the MXT performs. One things that seems to be coming to light is the fact that these tones act more like a waves... this is hard to explain but like the BH the tones are cut and dry... where MXT tones have suddle differences. Doesn't matter - eventually your going to have to dig 95% of all the targets if you want to find the old stuff. which most don't understand when they come in green to this hobby; like I did. I must say, I would not change my decision on the MXT any because of the control it give you to decide on to dig. Pluss, as I grow in my understanding- I'll have a machine that wont need upgrading for any reason. I am still missing backlighting, however I read just recently; here on this forum that a lil led stick on light works well. Still messing the volume control, however when I do run the machine without head phones, I want it full blast anyways. There are times where I don't want to wear the head phones { lil cumbersome } in some place the machine is wack'd loud when pin pointing. Weight, you get use to it, it isn't near as bad as some of the digging you will encounter. Besides, I can switch arms and not miss a beat. Also as a new Player, other than the BH, I haven't any other experience with other machines, However I have the feeling that I have much more a machine than I actually realize compared to some others machine you can get with a lower price tag.
