Wouldn't be without the Vibra Probe 560 or a SunRay on any hunt. Certainly a time saver and helps prevent damage while retrieving a find. Took a while to buy one as i used an ice pick as a probe then noticed some dimples and scratches on a few coin finds and decided to try the 560 and swore i would never hunt again without the VP 560 or better yet a SunRay probe which works off the detector Electronics and works like a 1" coil but more expensive as they are detector specific.

If hunting any site where older coins and relics are possible a good electronic probe is almost essential to help with a clean retrieval. Get one you won't regret it. HH Bill

I use my Vibraprobe to confirm that a clump of fused sand or mud doesn't have a target in it.

Yes, Mine helps me a lot, If my MXt says it is "0" depth and if the hand held cant find it, then i know right off somthings up... small targets in holes. somtimes when you dig the hole it falls to the bottom of the hole. It really helps me find a target i normally would have givin up on. I wont hunt without mine.

I have a vibraprobe and would not dig in the dirt without one. I don't take it to the beach though as I have found I do not need it there.

I made one which works well but is a little bulky. I also have a Bounty Hunter pin pointer.

Very Handy to have especially when coins are really dirty and you cant see them in the dirt or mud or if a find is off a little to the side of the hole. They can and will save ya time. JMHO.

I use the Vibra-Probe and find it very useful - lowers the frustration factor of chasing small targets that blend in with the dirt/mud/etc. It has also saved me from damaging many of my finds.
