Honestly, I've heard nothing but great/grand/wonderful/fabulous/insert-best-ever-adjective-here about the Vibra Probe's. The 570 is the latest model, having just come out a few months ago, and it's gotten great reviews. The White's Bullseye II is also really well put together as is everything Whites makes, but the VibraProbe is newer. Meanwhile the Automax v4 is a good start for beginners, but not sure when it was updated last... I haven't had an opportunity to use any of these, but I speak from what I see happening around me. So other users will have the personal experience with these that you seek... I'm just tellin' ya what I see from behind the industry curtain. Hope this helps, and yay for the decision on that sniper coil!!

As for one piece pinpointers, I prefer the Vibra-Probe; great pinpointer with no switches to break, no dirt gets inside it, and if sealed properly it's waterproof. The Automax is way to long (gets in the way), detects several inches up the shaft (not just at the point), and I personally don't like the design (feels/looks cheap made). The Bullseye is a nice pinpointer and does very well, however I prefer something more durable. The Treasure Mate is a little more expensive, but is also more sensitive, even detecting very small targets (especially gold) depending on the settings (GB and Sens). However, as I don't MD for grains of gold, this brings me back to the Vibra-Probe for land and water use. If you get the chance or have the opportunity, check with some local MDers or dealers and see if they will let you handle/test the different makes/models.

I've used the Vibraprobe for some time and recommend it.However,I have a Sunray probe on my M6 and wouldn't be without it.It is just like another detector and will go about 3"deep.Pricey tho($179).It uses the detector's TID screen,so if you have a TID,it can verify what the target is.

I Also use a Sunray probe.. The minute I opened up the box for the Automax I decided to sell it...
I've heard that the Vibra phones are really good.. Good luck with your choice... But I would check out the Sunray Probes first.. They do cost a little more but they are Well Worth it...

Use a SunRay probe on a Sov Gt. and feel it's one of the best probes made but perhaps cost prohibitive if using multiple detector as it's detector specific. For general use and a grab and go probe the Vibra Probes are at the top in my book as they are sensitive at the tip and not the length of the probe which allows more precise target location. HH Bill

I've never used a probe yet, but from what I've been reading, the Vibraprobe looks like its the way to go! Its my next item to get!:santahat:
