Welcome Bigweb, you are in a place to find some really interesting stuff. Be careful with munitions you might dig up.
When I was young, 10, 11 ,12, back in 1959, 60, 61 We lived in Darmstadt, about 100 miles north east of you. When we weren't in school, we were always in the woods looking for stuff and going through old bombed out buildings and houses. We found lots of stuff, from helmets to dishes or whatever. Had to get rid of it when we left. My step dad wouldn't let me bring it back, to much weight, we were only allowed so much or he would have to pay to have it shipped. The only thing that made it back was a square bowl that holds about 2-3 quarts. It has a Luftwaffe swastika on the bottom dated 1937. The only reason it made it back was because my Mom used it. I still have it today.
Any way, enjoy it while you are there.
