Default Pin Pointer Questions

I received a Bounty Huner Pin Pointer with my QDII. It didn't come with any instructions, but it was brand new in the box.

What is the key to using this thing?

Below is a link to the same one I have for sale on ebay.

Pin Pointer

Thanks in advance!

Hey Cash just turn it on? Try it out side and see what it does.

Normally a pinpointer will tell you if you are close to the target. I use mine on the plug a bunch. If the coin/object is in or out of the hole. It will let you find it quicker than just passing the dirt under the detector? Nice when the coin/object is hidden, Beale.

What Beale said and also if it has a sensitivity control, you can turn it on with no metal around and set the sensitivity so it doesn't activate until it approaches metal. Sometimes though, it may false when you poke it into the dirt not even near your target, in which case you have to turn the sensitivity down a hair.

The way I use mine (Tinytec) is to dig the hole and if the target is still in there, swirl the probe around the bottom of the hole and work up around the sides. Usually only the tip and maybe an inch up are the only areas that will pick up metal.

You can usually expect about an inch of depth from them, some a little more and some a little less.

Once you get the hang of using one - you'll never want to hunt without it!
