Junk cars from the 50-60s a good place for Silver?
Greetings, I know of a few junk yards in the south west that have tons of old cars from the 50s and 60s....wondering if there might be some pre 65 silver coinage in some of them that could have slipped between seats and under carpet. Do you think that my Fisher F2 could discriminate out the other metals good enough to get a target signal? thanks and good luck, Stephen

Watch out for
I don't think the MD will do you much good in these old cars. Good question.
Be sure that you watch out for: Spiders, Snakes, Bees and RATS!@!##% Good luck

sounds like a plan good tip urb..I would deff hunt around and under the cars with small coil..the rip the cars apart inside out..hope you dont find body parts..lol

Sounds like dirty and dangerous work, so watch your back. Don't think the MD will be able to disc out the metal from the cars, though.

Be suprised at what a jewelry collection you could have also, by going through them cars...I know of someone that has a nice collection of rings and other nice pieces from cars he has bought for salvage...

Oh yeah,should be some good stuff in old cars.We have a small junkyard of older cars on my family's property and I've found lots of good stuff.One car had a trunk full of really old comic books.Also you can use the old spring steel from the trunks to make a nice bottle probe if you want to look for old privy's !

That may be a tough hunt with a MD..... Just looking may be the best way.....watch for rattlesnakes.
