Default newbies need some direction

Hello, we are looking for a metal detector for our treasure hunting adventures, we have a pretty low price range at the moment...we were thinking of perhaps a handheld detector, that is if they would work for when we are digging....any help would be appreciated. our price range again is very low. ... as in around 50 dollars....
Thank you in advance!

I would really reconsider that. I think at the 50.00 range you would just be throwing your money away and would not be happy. Look at some of the sponsors here and check out the Garrett Ace150. You might be able to find a used one of this model for a bit less. This would be a fantastic machine for the price and hold some value for the future. It would also do much more then a hand held unit. Good luck...

You might be able to fine a decent machiner at a flea market or a garage sale in that price range. Sometimes Craigslist will have something in your area.

Good luck and hope you can find something to hunt with!

Default Sounds familier

Hi Jordacki , i was in the same boat ..was keen to get a decent machine but had little money to lay out on it.I watched the world famous auction site online and watched auctions ending to get an idea of what people were bidding for and how much they were spending.
I found one ending late sunday evening and thought it a good time to place a last minute bid ..after all..who is online late sundays i thought.

The upshot was i got a decent machine in your price range and going by comments im given in the bounty hunter section i think i did ok for my 46 dollars.
Steves suggestion of craigslist is also good is i spotted the exact same machine brand new in the box for $50.

Hi , it was a used pioneer101 bounty hunter , theres also a pioneer 202 but im told its such little difference that for the money its hardly worthwhile.
Try typing pioneer 101 bounty hunter into google and watch for the ad from craigslist , there was a girl selling one new in the box for $50.

Heres the link , http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/tls/623533578.html looks like a sweet deal , id have went for it myself but had already bid for the used one so was stuck with it..hopefully all will end well with that one , good luck in your endeavours with yours.
