Default Looks like I am going to reject delivery of my Viper

As some of you know I ordered a Viper MD and was really disapointed when I herd all of the bad reviews on it. I am considering upgrading my order to the Minelab X-Terra 50 Metal Detector. Ever since making my order I have found my self driving everywhere looking for places besides the beach to hunt. I am looking for a good MD that I can take pretty much anywhere. I would be intrested to get your opinions on the proper MD for me.

Wes

Wes, in my opinion you did the best thing. Let everyone know what kind of ground you will be hunting, and I am sure that you will be guided in the right direction.

I have read the xterra 50 is a great machine, as is the xtera 70..The Cz 21 would be a whopping good choice But there a little more..It will hunt anywhere..check out the new fisher F2,F5 and the Ace 250.. The detector pro pirate looks cool..in your price range..good luck..HH..

I will be hunting both the beach and the local parks and schools. I live in San Diego county and the land here is mostly mountain area. Also most of the open fields here are full of weeds if that helps?

IMHO the X-70 gives you a bit more flexability? The auto GB, Noise cancel, and beach mode? Nice unit.

I would also look at the F-75. Here is on at a good price.

FS.... Fisher F75

Find a MD dealer in your area and go swing the ones you are interested in.(even if they are 100 miles away) "Im not saying you have to buy from them"
All the research on the net just does not compare to the hands on research..Plus you will know the feel and get a idea of what you are getting before you drop the $$$ for it...
Thats just my personal opinion on it...
