Default Hello

Hi my name is Niki and I just bought a White's XLT Spectrum E Series. I have always wanted one so I finally decided to buy one. I am having problems with the detector already. I have put down on the ground a ring, gold necklace, quarter, dime, nickel and penny. It saw the quarter and ring but nothing else am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any input...

Wonder why my pics not showing up???

Niki, I would try to bury some of the coins in a test plot of ground..make sure they are a ways off and mark were you bury them..Is this a new machine also??..If so then check out your manual.....You can also get some practice at some local school playgrounds..that is a good way to see if you are working good...Lots of stuff in those...And if this is a used machine, then you can down load a manual on line..That will help out a little. The manual has a lot of info...It is a good machine, but it takes a little bit to get used to..There are many on this site that use it and it is tried and true...Hope this helps out some..Where in Florida are you at???..we might be close...Buster...

I'm in Tally. There are no clubs and I can't seem to find any one to hunt with.

I also forgot to ask about searching under power lines, will it make the detector go off? It seems no matter where i search the detector goes off on every swing. nickel, pull tab quarter, half dollar but when I dig I find nothing.

Where are you Buster?

"E" and I are in Fort Walton Beach area..Ric-san is in Milton...as for the power lines, that might interfere a little..I don't have that problem out this way..As I said it is a good machine..It does take a little time to get to know it..I have had mine for about 12 years...If this is a used machine, it might need to be sent in for some service..If it is new, then it might have a problem and still might have to be sent in...When I use mine I just put in the program and balance, then go...hang in there...it might just be an adjustment...Buster,....
