Default The Junk I dig

Has anyone ever collected all the junk that we find aluminium foil, pulltabs, brass buttons/zipper pulls and sold them? Aluminium is $0.92 a pound brass about a dollar. I was just thinking of saving this stuff in a couple of 5 gallon buckets and was wondering in anyone had ever done this.

My Dad was telling me that me and my son should do that since you already took the time to dig it out of the ground what can it hurt? Then once a year go to the metal buys and sell it all back.

We save copper, aluminum, and brass. You'd be amazed how fast it adds up.
