WOW,
I did not realize how many people are into metal detecting. I started hunting with a small unit from Radio Shac when I was a kid, loved digging up coins and nails mostly, one hubcap. Anyway have been looking into buying a new detector and getting started again. I have my eye on the Whites DFX. Any opinions would be welcomed. I understand that it is a little tough to get started with, but would like to know if I am getting in over my head. I am usually good with these types of things. Down here in Arkansas would love to hear from anyone close, or anyone at all.

Welcome Easymony! I am here in AR, am also using the white's DFX. Great detector! I am still in the learning process with it, but very easy turn on and go programming if you read the manuel! Learn to ground balance and you are on your way! I have really enjoyed this hobby! You will find a great group of people here, with any help or advice if you need any!

Grab you a detector and have a blast!!!
Welcome again!
Pat

The DFX is one of the best on the market. I use one and set it up for my type of hunting and conditions. If you want to talk about it call me.

Hello Easy! The White's DFX is a handful from my understanding but give Tony a call and he will take care of you and I think you will do well with the DFX!!! Ok I wish you the best Easy and happy hunting, God Bless too.
