Default New to hobby

Hi my name is John, and I have recently purchased a whites M-6 detector. I have only found a few coins and junk. I have not had a real chance to use it yet. Does anyone have experence using a GPS unit to locate possible hunt sites? I was thinking of buying one.
Which are the best for this hobby

Thanks !!

Welcome to the hobby and the forum, you joined a great group.
As far as GPS I purchased one last year and wouldn't be without it any longer both for metal detecting and just wandering around in the woods. Nice being able to get out of the vehicle, set the location in you GPS, and spend time just wandering around and not having to worry about the way back.
This is a web site with lots of info on searchs that will give you long. and lat. you can enter into a GPS and go.

Hope this helps... Bob
