Default dutch treasurehunter

hi there, I'm Theo from The Netherlands and want to say hello.

I use a Tesoro Bandido and a Chinese piece of cr.. NICE piece of a detector! This chinese made thing is a replica of a 1th class detector and it's really great! I paid about $80 for it on Ebay.(new) It works better then the Tesoro.
I like to search on the beach and on farmer land. Although farmerland around venlo is becoming rare. (they turn it into park and natural landscape and let cows shit on it). This year I had no time to search, we bought a new house and we are renovating it. I also do gliding and I rather go flying on a nice sunny saturday then searching.
Are there more golddiggers from Holland on this Forum?
greetings,
Theo

Chinese detectot better than a Tesoro ? I don't beleive it. Maybe you're just not setting the Tesoro up right. I'd look into working with it some more.

I have the tesoro about 6 years and in the beginning I went searching night and day. I was addicted and believe me, I tried every setting. The tesoro is ok, but the chinese one has a much better discrimination!
I have to ask my cousin, he knows from which detector the chinese one is a "copy".

Default Another Holland Golddigger

Hey, you still on here? I have been a long time (on an off again) treasure hunter, but I recently moved to Holland and just this week I came back from the states where I purchased a metal detector. It's nothing fancy, a Bounty Hunter, but I had that kind about 10 years ago and never found another one I liked as much (of course in the under $500 range). I've been to one sand park so far and I found 9 euros. I was wondering what the best places would be to go looking. I'm just south of Rotterdam. My immediate goal is to find enough euros to cover the cost of the detector, and at this rate, that shouldn't be a problem.

Welcome from the Land of the Bluegrass and great basketball... Kentucky. You said the chinese have a copy of a detector. Figures they don't really design things they just make copies. Ice

Welcome to T.Q! I've wondered why the market wasn't flooded with Chinese-made detectors, like everything else. I guess the Chinese are capable of making a good detector. Lord knows, they make everything else. But I'd rather stick to the "other" brands.
