Sorry about the Dis remark!! Personally I prefer my 26 year old Daytona Rangar and my similiar vintage A.H. Superpro. I find a lot of goodies in supposedly worked out areas. Of course, I have some of the more up to date detectors but these are some of my favorites! Happy in Texas!!!

I used a Rangar for a short time. Interesting how they were pioneers in that they were first to put electronics in the coil. Others followed over the years. I still have my Red Baron RB7 which as you know was the first motion discriminator in VLF. Everyone thought I was crazy out there "whipping" along. But boy did I find the coins. So you see , I go way back with Bounty Hunter and have sold quite afew over the years.

Tony I noticed you used the red Baron RB7,I have a BH 840 in mint condition that has sat in a cupboard for more years than I can remember,it still appears to fire up ok but for the life of me I cant remember how to tune it,would I still be able to get hold of a manuel from somewhere after all these years.
I think the RB7 and the 840 are about the same vintage.
