Default New to the site

Hello everyone! I just started MDing about 2 months ago. I am a pharmacist and my partner is a veteran in this hobby. He let me borrow his Troy Shadow and I have found some good finds. Alot of clads, 1 "flawless" Silver Merc (1944), 1 Silver ring, an F.F.A. ring (one my uncle lost in his parents yard since High School), and a few Wheat pennies. I'm having a ball at this and after much research, and a trip to Garrett in Garland, TX, I have pulled the trigger on an ACE 250. I comes in on Monday and I can't wait to use it. I will be posting my finds as I progress in this hobby. This seems like a very friendly site and look forward to communicating with yall.
Jeff

Jeff - Welcome to Treasure Quest! I do agree with Ed that you are about to partake in a very rewarding hobby. I am also very new in this hobby, and my wife says I am too obsessive with it!
I am planning on visiting Garrett next month when I am in Texas. I hope they will be open when we are up that way around Christmas. I also own an Ace 250 and am enjoying it very much. Please keep us posted when you receive your machine and all the finds you dig up!
