Hello all. I use to go metal detecting with my grandfather when I was a very young kid. Just ordered my first dectector since.

I decided to go with the Bounty Hunter Quick Silver. I live in Minnesota and I plan to maybe combine MDing with my other favorite past time Disc Golf. DG is free and most of the courses are put in public parks. Some courses have some heavy traffic. Figure with that twisting and moving when throwing maybe I can find some cool stuff. Can't wait til summer to try my new detector out!!

Disc golf, .......same as frisbee golf? I've watched it on tv a couple of times. Looks like fun.

I hunted a couple of times at a disc golf site last summer.
The clad was plentiful but nothing very old.
