Default Greetings From Sonoma, CA

Hi. My name is Dan Parker and I was steered to this site by another new member, Hal Pollner. I am 51, a 3rd generation Sonoman, work as a carpenter at Sonoma State U, and own a small vegetable farm my wife and I work when we feel like it.

My other interests include astronomy, gardening, camping, reading, etc.

I am looking into the Bounty Hunter line of detectors as I have $400 in Cabela Bucks to spend and would like to hear from other users.

Seems pretty friendly here so I just want to say hi!

Dan

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum.. I use to live in Santa Rosa and worked for several years at Friedman's hardware store there in Sonoma. Bet there is an odds on chance we have met, small town, small hardware store. Lovely town, do miss the restaurants. Great food, wonderful wines.
With as many festivals, art shows, bbqs, plus the weekend tourists you should be able to turn up a couple pennies detecting down at the the Plaza.
Good luck Bob

Default Hey Dan...

It'll be great bouncing between Treasure Quest and Cloudy Nights with you!

I ordered my THIRD metal detector today, and have never even been out in the field with my Garret ACE 250 or my Garrett GTP 1350! I'll be picking up my new Garrett GTI 1500 next week!

Hal

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome to the site! Hey Don, are/were you in the Navy? I was in the Seabees for 8 years.

Hey Hal, you are way ahead of me on purchases!! Have you made it into the field yet?

Well folks, have a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a prosperous New Year!

Dan
