I am supposed to meet Mark Sunday morning early, but I don't know what time yet. He is in the Springdale area. I'll meet him at his house. As soon as he lets me know or signs on here we should know more.

We can meet up Sunday morning anytime you guys want to. Does 9:00 sound good?

Boobie, I'll call you and give you directions.

Wyman, I don't know where you're coming from but you can meet us either off of the turnpike in Harmarville or we can meet right at the park since you already know where it is. I'll P.M. you my number.

Mark

9 am sounds good to me. I'll give you a call Saturday and we will discuss it. I will probally just meet you guys at the park. I live in MCCandless and just cut through millvale to 28 and then across the Highland park bridge. Take me maybe 20 minutes to get there.

You guys every find any good finds up there?

Found this link about the History of Highland park...

Hello, all you guys talking about Pittsburgh, Cranberry and Midland makes me homesick. I grew up over in Salem Ohio but worked outside Bridgeville and lived in Cargnie for 4 years in the late 90s. I now live in Oregon but I wish I could detect over in your area now. Man the places I know about are endless in Ohio and some cool places you might around Pa.

My X was the chef at cranberry Country club for awhile and I did some Kicthen remodeling in the area. Went back to Salem this year for my parents 60th and went through Cranberry from the airport. Man that place is a growing.

My cousin used to drag me along to a bar in Midland in the 80s, he had Country Western band. We also used to go there to some hotel/resturant for all you can eat ribs and Buffet. Some really nice country arounf that area.

One place I might suggest you guys try is a little park outside bridgeville. Its on R50/also Miller Road in a little town called Cecil. I know this place has been around for a long time and might be worth your wild to check out. It sure gets a lot of daytime ativity and weekend park goers. I will do some research into my old photos and files and see what else I can come up with for you. Let me know how you all make out on your hunts.

tinkb, would that hotel/restaurant have been the Willows?
They still have the good food there.
Midland now is pretty much a dead town since the mills closed down. But it is starting to regroup and improve itself.

Hey Boobie, you know I have been trying all weekend to remember the name of that place. Just not sure what it was but I think it was in Independence. Wow last time I was there was 1998, so I am surprised I even remember what I did about it.

If I remember right your between the airprort and Beaver valley Mall? I can't think of the name of the bridge down there. One place not to far from you I would like to hit would be The Rogers Sale. I bet there is some silver still floating around there and alot of clad. Be a ton of Junk too and maybe some nice lost jewlery.

I would think there are a ton of old schools around you to hunt. I know alot of those old places and schools out around Cecil have to be from the late 1800s and 1900s. I didn't detect when I lived there but man I wish I had now. I used to do kitchen, bath and counter tops sales for a lumber yard I worked for. I bet I did estimates on 200 places a year and some of them did to have help some old coins and relics.

Still digging through some old boxes and files. I think I might be able to come up with maybe 1 or 2 guys that can point you fellows to some nice hunting grounds in the area. Sure would be nice to find you a few places and hear ya dug up some old coins on it. See what I can come up with and let you all now.
