Hi everyone, I've been reading over the forum the past several days and decided to register and say Hi. I've always had an interest in detecting but have never pulled the trigger on it. From what I'm seeing everyone seems to like the Ace 250 for beginners, I'll probably be looking into that. I live in Omaha, Nebraska and I'm not sure what all I can find around here, but I'm hoping I'll at least get some nice excercise out of this new endevour. Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum, lots of good info!

Hello Jason, and welcome! The Ace 250 is definately a great machine to start out with. I have one and enjoy it every time I get out to metal detect! You are about to step into a very addictive hobby, so beware! Whatever machine you do happen to purchase, I recommend you spend a little extra money and purchase some volume-controlled headphones. I personally believe they are a "must have". Good luck with whatever machine your purchase... and have a happy and safe new year!!!

Welcome Jason to a very addictive hobby.
Get the Ace 250, and definitely headphones with volume control. Without volume control the beeps and dings will drive ya goofy. Kinda Loud Happy New Year!!!!

Welcome Jason,
You will truly find this to be an addictive hobby. I was out today and found coins at a local school. Nothing old. You will find it to be good exercise as well as relaxing. Just getting outdoors is great for all of us. This is a great group on here and will be able to help with any questions you might have. Good luck and Happy New Year, Bill |
