New Detector in North Texas

I just got a BH SharpshooterII for free, and just turned it on today and tried it out in the back yard. I must say I think Im hooked, did not find much but I think I can get into the hobby. I did find a Vogue 1938 SilverPlated 6" Teaspoon. Its not worth anything its its condition but hey its my first find. :)

I am researching where I can go to do some real hunting if anyone is in the north texas area, Cooke county and surrounding can offer any info please let me know.
