Default Hello everyone! Newbie here...

Hi to everyone! I'm new to metal detecting, and I just purchased a Minelab X-30 to get me started. Can anyone tell me some good spots to go to in Mobile, Alabama, and Biloxi, Mississippi? I just want to find some lost jewelry, and coins, (maybe a little treasure).

Welcome to TQ, Insider.

Can't tell you too much about where to hunt in your area, but I'm sure there are some here who can.

I own an XTerra 70; think you're gonna like your Minelab.
Keep us posted

I really like my Minelab, I bought it at a show directly from the Minelab guys. First day I tried it I took two steps and found a nice shiney dime in a spot I walked over every day. That detector really finds stuff fast, and the pin point feature gets me right on target.

Ask the police if you can detect at Ladd stadium. The boat launch areas of Dog River.Dead Lake Marina area in Creola(understand that Buudy Long has now sold that land to the state),just down from the marina,by boat, are some indian mounds about 75' from the bayou on the north side. And you have the fairgrounds in Mobile and lots of 'old' schools.Goodluck, and don't forget Dauphin Island!
