Default NC Newbie Update

Hi. I just posted some of our finds on the finds page but I wanted to give an update/interesting development. My son and I hadn't been out hunting our spot (old homesite) in a week. When we came back today some of the holes we had dug, and refilled, had been dug again with the dirt strewn about. When I came across the first one I thought we had forgot to fill it in but then after the 6th, 7th, 8th we began trying to figure out what happened- had a person come behind us and checked where we dug, or maybe and animal. I was upset because we have been given permission to hunt the land and I told them we would fill our holes. I don't care if someone else is out hunting, but I don't want the owners to think we are being negligent. Also- that bottle dump we found the first day out- we can't find it again!?! I know there are approx 11 acres but I can't believe we can't find it. It was right on the edge of the woods. I thought I found some cans that were near it but there is not a bottle around- do you think someone else came and took the bottles? We found a few bottles but not the huge number we saw the first time. Maybe I just need to better my directional skills. Anyway- if anyone has suggestions for how to handle the holes being emptied again please let me know and THANKS!

I know around here the squirrels will dig out the holes after you fill them, I think it has something to do with the scent. This happened to me a few times and I wondered what was going on.
