Default Gti 2500

Does the Garrett GTI 2500 out preform the 1500 by that great of margin?
I am new to MD and I figure I will be buying a top of the line detector before its all over with anyways, so why not get one now. Ive read on a few forums and sites that the depth on these two units are similar. I was just wondering what advantages the 2500 has over the 1500 for $350 dollars more.

Thanks for the input

Welcome SignalCaller to T.Q. My Garrett is a older one so I really don't know what to say.
We do have lots of Garrett users on here and I am sure you will get enough information to help you in making that decision.

Hi SC ! I owned a 2500 and realy loved it ! But i probably would have loved the 1500 also as there are alot of features on the 2500 that for me were just added bells and whistles that i never used. Good luck !

Default Hello.....

and WELCOME to TQ "Signal Caller". There are, for sure, several features in the 2500 not found in the 1500! Only you can say whether they are $350 more important than the 1500. However, I just happen to have one, BRAND NEW GTI2500 in stock, the Christmas version, with the LARGE coil, and in the Leather Carry Case.

If you're interested, your cost as a TQ Member is $899.95 (only one remaining), plus shipping!

Hi Signalcaller, If the GTI2500 is what you really want then I would get it. It is a very good detector and well worth the extra cost! So I will be happy to assist you in aquiring the GTI2500 Enhanced Package Deal. For me personally it would be my choice with no hesitation. You can call or email me Signalcaller and I will be at your service. It is very nice to meet you also. God Bless.

The Spring special on the 2500 makes it definitely worth the extra. Performance wise you'll have more room to tweak it in and a better understanding of what your target is. I say go for it.
