Default Hello all, from a KY newbie

Hello, I'm just getting started so I'll probably be reading a lot and posting little for a while.
I just bought my first detector and hope I got something useable. It's a Fisher 1236-X2. Not sure it would have been my first choice for starting out but got it at a great price.
I haven't taken it out yet. Any comments or advice would be greatly appretiated.
I plan on hunting mostly for coins and in central KY.

Hi Ky Tracker,

Good luck with your new hobby and the 1236x2. Been using one since 2001 but not as often now as i used to and the little Fisher is a very competent detector and should treat you well once you learn the basics which may take about half an hour

If you have any questions just ask away as there's always folks willing to help. HH Bill
