Hello TQ members! I recently got bit by the MD bug and cannot wait to get started. I've been looking on your site for a couple of weeks now looking for some input on various models of detectors. After alot of thought and reading, I've decided to go with the ACE 250. However, I have one question I have not been able to find an answer for yet.

This is something my dad (recently retired) and I would like to do together. Will the ACE 250 operate side by side with another 250 or does there need to be a distance in between? If there is a distance needed how far apart do they need to be?

Thanks for your help on this and all the other wonderful information on here!

Welcome to TQ. My husband and I have the Ace 250 . The Aces will go crazy when you get them next to each other, the distance to keep between them is about 3-4 feet...if I remember right. It's been awhile since we have detected together, Come on Spring ...Where are you??

Since they both will operate on the same frequency , you will need a few feet apart. Sensativity settigns will tell you how far. When you're ready to purchase please let me know and I will do everything I can to help you out.

Default Hello BouseHouse

Well first Welcome aboard...and jump right in with two feet...you found the best site around for detecting...ask away and show them finds...and when you two get togather to detect...get both set to what your looking for and when you get too close togather you will be able to tell how far you both will have to be, from them going off on each other...from the swing it's going to be a least 5ft plus...good luck...
