Default Hi Everyone

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Jim and I live in so. Jersey, I've been detecting off and on since the mid seventys. I work as a longshoreman out of Phila. I have a lot of interests and hobbies. I homesteaded in NW Montana for a number of years and built several log cabins. Now I'm back in NJ and have renewed my interest in beach detecting .

Hey Jim
Good to see a fellow Jerseyite. I'm up in central (Brick), but I do travel down to Ocean City to detect once in a while. Have you did any beach hunting on the Jersey Shore? Anyway, welcome to the site.

Default Thanks everyone

Thanks for the welcome everybody.
Don, I've hit the Cape May beach a few times along with Wildwood and Ocean City nothing too remarkable yet. I did my best recently at an old swimming lake, abandoned now. I went there as a kid in the 50,s and remembered where the consession stand was, long gone now. I don't think anyone detected it before I got there and I found a bunch of coins mostly silver.

Silver...huh

I did mostly beaches, though its not my favorite. Haven't did Wildwood or Cape May yet. Researching local areas (thru town clerks) as to whats legal and not legal around here. I did have some luck in Ocean City as I found a diamond ring, but other than that, rusted clad.
