Welcome 2scooterchic! Great Info on this site. Just wanted to add don't get discouraged. You are gonna dig trash too but you will learn your machine. Geez I've been hunting for bout four years and dug up 3 bottle caps yesterday! well my md said it was good and i believed it and even when i got them out of the ground it still barked like a puppy! I took it home and made it stand in the corner. HH

Default a good video to watch...

go to Whites Electronics Metal Detectors they have a an instructional video thath free to download and watch. it isnt for your machine but its the best tutorial for digging ive seen yet. they show you the best way to cut a plug in the sod. use a drop cloth to put your dirt on. when your done dump the dirt in your hole and lay the flap of sod back down. watch the video and it will amaze you with the simplicity.i cant remember the title but i do believe it was on the prizm instructional video. good luck. dont give up. and happy hunting.

ps.... even if you do dig alot of pull tabs and junk at first, its ok, you are removing the wheat from the chaff. as you get better with your machine you will realise you have gotten most of the junk alreday that means whats left is more likely to be good stuff.

I also am not sure where to dig when it beeps and when I dig I don't want to destroy the area. I know I'm a mess. It's embarrassing. Any tips would be appreciated that can narrow this down for me while I am "hunting". I am having fun but my husband says at the rate I'm going we will not have a backyard left. Thanks, Debbie
have ya got a scooter?

Lots of practice till you know your machine really well and don't get discouraged. We all dig alot of junk to get any of the good finds you see here...most of us don't show the junk though. I started by digging up my own yard first before I started ruining public property. lol Love the beach though, it is so easy to dig. good luck and welcome
